New Temple, Antichrist, and the Great Tribulation

Progress towards the new temple is moving forward, and according to CBN, 2023), there are now “nine pure priests” at the Temple Institute which are necessary to perform duties. In other news about the temple, the red heifer for the ceremony that must take place on the Mount of Olives will be old enough in roughly a year and a half. According to (CBN, 2023), Rabbi Mamo states,  “It had to be exactly at the front of the place that the priest that made this ceremony can see the Holy of the Holy Place.”

Amazingly (CBN, 2023), this would be the first ceremony in over 2,000 years and is a step for the Jewish people toward their Messiah coming. (We know that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and the one they seek will be a satanic fraud). A Jewish sage, Maimonides, said there were nine red heifers from Moses to the second temple, and many people, along with the sage, believe that the tenth heifer will “make the Messiah come” (CBN, 2023).

The Mount of Olives is used in many Biblical passages, and we should also note that the ceremony occurs on the Mount of Olives, where Christ will return. The Mount of Olives is also where Christ ascended to heaven (Acts 1:11).

Zechariah 14:3,4

“3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”

The coming ceremony of the red heifer instills excitement in Israel for the building of the coming temple. Why should Christians care about the sacrifices and the preparation for ceremonies? Because the sacrifices bring the world closer to the one who is to come, the antichrist. The Holy Bible states that the man of sin will sit in the temple of God; therefore, we must assume that there will be a temple where the son of perdition will sit.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

“3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

The sacrifices are a key part of prophecies in Daniel where the antichrist will stop the sacrifices, sit upon the holy temple during the great tribulation, and if there is no temple, then it is not the time for the Great Tribulation. Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, teaching his disciples about the end of days, and during this discourse, He brought the disciples back to the abomination of desolation mentioned by Daniel.

Daniel 9:27

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Perhaps as a foreshadowing of the evil one to come, in history, Antiochus Epiphanes did a type of abomination when according to (Bible and Theology, 2014), he raided the “temple, stopped the regular sacrifices, set up an idol of or altar for Zeus, and apparently offered swine there as a sacrifice.”

Christ tells His disciples to watch for the “abomination of desolation,” spoken of in Daniel. When His disciples see the abomination of desolation stand in the holy place, the temple by the evil one, they are to run to the mountains for the great tribulation, the biggest ever known to man has started.

Matthew 24:14-22

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

My friend, the Word of God is the key to the mystery of the end times, and only through the Holy Spirit can we find these mysteries revealed. We must also remember that no man knows the time of His return, only the Father (Matthew 24:36).

God bless you abundantly, my beloved in Christ
