To my brothers and sisters struggling with depression, stress, or anxiety, Jesus is with you in every situation, and His love for you is incomprehensible and limitless.
Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. (Please read the Scriptures out loud, for there is power in the Logos and Rhema of God.)
Romans 8:37-39
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Be comforted that the Lord knew about the stress and anxiety you are dealing with; that is why He reassured you when He said don’t worry about tomorrow worry about today, for today’s stress is enough (Matthew 6:25-34). The Lord Jesus, Whose existence is outside of our time (for He was, and is, and is to come), knows everything you deal with in your life. He spoke beautiful precepts to you through His word that will help when you walk through the valley. Remember, beloved one of God, you are never alone, for the Great Shepherd walks with you. When Satan tempted Christ, His Majesty quoted Scripture to overcome the temptation and the evil one (Matthew 4:1-11). So we will be like our wise King and quote the Holy Bible to our situation.
Lord, I am depressed. I speak against this depression with the Word of God, for it is written rejoice in the Lord; always again I say rejoice.
Habakkuk 3:18-19
“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”
Today I make steps towards not living in sadness by aligning myself with the Logos, for it is written this is the day that the Lord made. We will be glad and rejoice in it.
Psalm 118:24
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
You see, my friend, the Lord Jesus put instructions inside His word to help us (which is Him because He is the word of God). He knows your hardships and recognizes you need Him.
Please know cherished one of the Lord; God, who is the very existence of everything, cares for you. Miraculously, His incredible love for you led Christ to sacrifice Himself on the cross to bring you into His family by adoption as a son or daughter when you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior(John 3:16-18, Ephesians 3:20).
You are not alone; give Him your loneliness, and Christ will fill your lonely, empty heart with His Spirit. Do not fear; Jesus will not leave you by yourself, for He said will never leave nor forsake you. (Don’t forget to read God’s word out loud.)
Deuteronomy 31:8
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Do you not know Jesus thought of you before He ascended to Heaven; Christ, in His Messianic foreknowledge, had a plan to comfort you with the Holy Spirit. Christ said in John to His disciples (including you) I will not leave you alone I will come to you (John 14:1-3). God, who is truth and cannot lie, fulfilled His promise when the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of comfort, which is the Holy Ghost fell upon the disciples and others at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). Take heart, dear one, our God is three, but one He is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. So when the Holy Ghost fell upon them, Jesus was there in Spirit (John 14:16-18). All those who are born again to new life in Christ have the Holy Spirit living inside of them. God almighty, who loves you so much, has many ways to comfort you and love you; you are important to Him; after all, He gave his life for you. Speak the following words of comfort to yourself.
John 14:16-20
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”
The book of Proverbs says the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. So, beloved, we know the name of the Lord is Jesus Christ; run to Him and be safe from the storm that rages around or in you (Proverbs 18:10).
Proverbs 18:10
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
The Lord is your banner, Jehovah Nissi; His banner is held high over you. Dearly loved, you are under the banner of Elohim (Exodus 17:15-16). You are protected by Jesus Christ under His pavilion under His wings as little chicks; He takes care of you (Psalm 91).
Beloved find peace in the storms of life because the Lord is your Shepherd; you shall not want; His rod and staff protect His lambs (Psalm 23). The Lord God loves you, is there to light your path and walks through whatever situation you’re in, whether dark or brutal; the Lord God is your guide, and fortress from the onslaught (Psalm 119:105).
Be encouraged that Jesus Christ always hears our prayers. He hears the prayers in the night when you feel alone. He listens as you cry out to Him in despair. Do not lose hope if you think your prayers for healing are not answered. God heals in different ways, regardless of the circumstance. Jesus never leaves you alone and gives grace in every situation. For some, He brings healing by His hand, for He is Jehovah Rapha the Lord who heals; for some, Jesus walks with you down the dark hallway of illness using medication to help heal; for some, He stays with them through their numerous hospital as they live with chronic disease, and for others, Christ walks the valley with them till they close their eyes in death. Regardless of your circumstances, you are loved by the King. God hears and answers your prayers (Exodus 15:26, John 10:28-29). King Jesus is always with you. Christ always loves and nurtures you; remember, you are a part of His body (Ephesians 5:30).
Christ died for all those in the world. Even those who do not know Christ are loved, for it says the Lord is willing for none to perish but for all the come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If you are reading this and do not believe, call on Christ for Jesus loves you; He directs His children to be anxious for nothing and have faith through the storm, for He is preparing a place for you (John 14:1-3). Christ, speaks through the apostle Paul, declaring rejoice in Lord always; my friends, do not be anxious but let your prayers and supplication be known to God (Philippians 4).
Philippians 4:4-7
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Let us declare, I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be anxious for nothing, for I am a child of God washed in the blood of the Lamb, sealed by redemption, and protected by the name of Jesus, your strong tower.
God loves you so much; He is the Prince of peace. He is the light of the world who pierces the darkness. He is the everlasting one; Christ is Emmanuel God with us. Messiah is the Son of God, the radiance/brightness of His glory (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus is the Almighty one, the Creator of Heaven and earth, the great Shepherd of the sheep, the firstborn of the dead, and the second Adam. Lord God loves us; He sees us; He is El Roi, the God who sees (Genesis 16:13 and 1 Peter 3:12). You are loved; Christ’s care for you is so beautifully intimate that He puts your tears in a bottle. He knows you and writes a book about your days as in Malachi and Psalms (Psalm 139:16, Malachi 3:16-18).
Little ones be comforted in this fact. Jesus Christ, Almighty God, loves you beyond measure and without boundaries. You are God’s treasure, for did He not come in the flesh to give His life for you on that fateful day over 2,000 years ago. Christian, you are His beloved, loved, and protected in the hollow of His hand (John 14. Life can be devastating when a medical diagnosis comes that floors your life, or you live with debilitating mental illness or chronic disease. Keep praying and seek healing, for we do not know how God will heal. He may use modern medicine or surgical procedures, or for you who take daily medication for your condition, ask the Lord to bless your medication so that it works well in your body.
The Lord God loves you and wants you to know you were, are, and will always be loved; there is no end or beginning to the love of God for you. Do you not know that God inclines His head down and listens from Heaven when you pray, for Christ loves you. Lay aside anxiety and worry, take hope for does not the Lord God feed the birds? He who gave His life will feed you, (spiritually and physically) for He is the bread of life, our provider. Jesus is the water of life, our sustainer. Seek for bread that will not rot and the living water of Christ, which will heal and fill your soul with life. Cry out to the Lord, when you are besieged by life and overwhelmed; He will be your shelter, your peace in the battle we call life. Speak His word into your situation.
Isaiah 58:8-11
“8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”
O, Lord God, we adore you and praise and worship your name. Thank you for your joy, your understanding, your comfort, and your peace. My friend, you are the beloved of Jesus Christ, loved with an everlasting love. Do not be discouraged; keep praying and seeking God who walks with you through the valleys of life. Take hope that you are loved and cling to Jesus Christ, protected in His arms, knowing He loves you and will care for you no matter what happens. Be comforted by His words.
Psalm 61:1-8
“[[To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David.]] Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.
He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.“
