Pray for Riots to be Revival in South Africa

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Ephesian 6:18

Pray for South Africa

South Africa was burning with rage, and men, women, and children were affected by that fury. South Africa needs Jesus. Pray that the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, will comfort the grieving families of those who have lost their lives. Pray that the God of Hope will bring new hope to those left penniless in the chaos. Pray that God, Who is Jehovah Jireh, will supply the needs of the people affected by the rioting in South Africa. Rioting shook the country with 337 dead, leaving people without jobs, with food shortages, and businesses were looted and burned,

“The death toll from the unrest that followed the jailing of former President Jacob Zuma has risen from 276, announced on Wednesday, to 337. Acting Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said that more people had died from injuries sustained during the violence…Thousands of businesses were looted in the riots last week that mainly affected the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.” (1)

Christians, please intercede for South Africa for God to protect the innocent, the hungry, the homeless, the destitute, and for Christ to send Godly men and women to help out those in need for indeed the fields are white with harvest (John 4:35). God loves the people of South Africa and wants to bring peace to she whose streets were on fire and unpassable, whose malls were burnt, whose supplies were taken, and whose troops were deployed to help bring stability,

“Tires were set afire in the streets, and shopping malls were gutted…  Ramaphosa admitted that the government had been “poorly prepared” to respond to such levels of violence. In an effort to regain stability, 25,000 troops with the South African National Defense Force were deployed to support police around the country (President Cyril Ramaphosa).” (2)

Only God can bring restoration to South Africa who needs intercession after days of riots,

“South Africa is beginning to return to normal, but just what that will look like is still unclear…In a hint of optimism, the rolling coverage of violence and looting was replaced with footage of ordinary South Africans sweeping the streets and cleaning up storefronts. In the immediate aftermath, residents in Durban and Pietermaritzburg faced food shortages…” (3)

Brothers and sisters pray for South Africa that God will bring revival to this divided land. Let us pray that South Africa will burn with the fire of the Holy Ghost, that the carnal will return to their first love, that multitudes will be saved. That the flames of the Holy One will spread out from South Africa till all of Africa is ablaze with the good news of Jesus Christ, and Africans are filled with a Holy Ghost life-changing Pentecost. Praise be to God. Let us beseech God to give opportunities for Pastors and Christians to share Christ. Pray that Churches have access to food, water, and supplies to share with those in need. God can use this unrest to spread the gospel as Christians live the Bible. Praise God that He will perform a mighty work in South Africa, and yes, all of Africa. Glory to God in the highest. May Christ reign in all of Africa.

May Jesus Christ bless you richly, my beloved in Christ.

  1. A heartfelt cry of prayer for South Africa. Yes, yes, yes and AMEN!!! Oh God, lift up Your African Bride together with ALL NATIONS and hear our cries for YOU, in ALL Your perfection, Father, to reign over us. By the blood of the unblemished Lamb and the Power of Your Spirit; by the authority and power You breathed into us on Pentecost, we pray, oh GOD, YOUR Kingdom, YOUR will be done on Earth, in our lifetime, as it is in Heaven. Raise up the poor and needy and make our hearts to rejoice. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
