NEPAL AND THE UNITED STATES
A CALL TO INTERCESSORY PRAYER
Pray for the Flood Victims
Heartbreakingly, over 400 lives have been lost in Nepal, with hundreds still missing, while recent severe storms and flooding in the United States have also claimed lives, and destroyed homes and communities.
Behind every person lost are family and friends in pain and a community that is grieving and needs our prayers.
Pray for the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, to minister to those overwhelmed by grief, fear, trauma, and uncertainty. Ask Him to comfort the brokenhearted, bring peace in the midst of devastation, and draw hurting hearts to Christ.
As Christ prayed for us, we are called to pray for others. Seek the Lord with your whole heart and intercede for those suffering from the devastating floods in Nepal and the United States.
“Pray one for another.”
(James 5:16-KJV)
Seek the Lord for the hurting.
Come before the Lord for those who have lost loved ones, those who are still missing, and families desperately waiting for news. Carry their suffering before the throne of God in earnest intercession.
Intercede for rescue workers, medical teams, volunteers, missionaries, and all those laboring in the affected areas. Ask God to give them strength and endurance when they are exhausted, wisdom when difficult decisions must be made, and protection as they work in dangerous conditions.
Pray for more workers and more help. Ask God to move upon the hearts of churches, ministries, organizations, and individuals to respond. Pray that food, clean water, shelter, medical care, prescription medications, equipment, supplies, and other necessary resources reach those in desperate need quickly.
Pray for the Church to rise up in compassion and obedience, meeting physical needs while bringing the hope and love of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering.
The Lord cares for the hurting and draws near to the brokenhearted. Seek Him earnestly on their behalf. Carry the grieving, the missing, their families, and those laboring to save lives before the throne of God in prayer.
If you are grieving today, Christ cares about your pain.
We are praying for you, your family, and the needs you are facing right now. We are asking the Lord to comfort you through His Holy Spirit and to move His people to come alongside you with food, medicine, shelter, resources, and the practical help you need.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
(Phil. 4:19)
And if you do not know Jesus Christ, we simply want you to know that His love is also for you. In the midst of sorrow, you can call upon Him. Jesus gave His life for our sins and rose again so that through faith in Him we may receive forgiveness and eternal life.
He welcomes those who come to Him. Our prayer is that you will know His presence, His comfort, and the hope of salvation found in Christ.
We are praying for you.
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world.” (1 John 4:9)
God bless you. Never forget: God loves you.
