Jesus is God’s Precious Gift to Us

Salvation God’s Gift to You

Arsenal of The King

by Cassia Johnson

It’s Christmas, and what a perfect time to speak of the love of Father God for you. God gave you a present because He so loved every person in the world. He gave His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die in our stead, to redeem us to God.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (KJV)

There can be no greater gift than to lay down our life for another, and Creator God gave the best He had, His perfect Son.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13

Isaiah prophesied about this gift long before Jesus was born:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Isa. 9:6

“A child is born” (the human part). “A Son is given” (the divine part- Isa 9:6). Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.

You have been given a present from God, but what did He give you when He gave Jesus Christ His Son?
