My beloved ones in Christ, are you drowning in the circumstances of life? Is the sea of life overwhelming you with hardships? Do waves of despair, depression, and anxiety bracket you with darkness and threaten to swallow you in a sea of anguish?
When your world is falling apart, do the people around you fail you, not understand you, or worse, wound you with their callousness? Do you feel alone without the support you crave? Instead of support, do people offer criticism and negativity, or are they too selfish to see or hear you?
When the circumstances of life threaten to drown you
A wave of anxiety, a wave of anguish, a wave of fear
A wave of betrayal, a wave of criticism, a wave of depression
Seek to drown you in the lonely sea of despair
Out of the sorrows, out of the despair
Rejoice, Rejoice for His glory
He will give you strength
Rejoice that you can cry out to God
Rejoice that God knows what is going on, rejoice
God is with you and loves you; He is the rock
For Jesus is the rock of your salvation
Stand firm on the rock
He is the mighty fortress; He is the rock, the powerful cornerstone
Stand upon Him
Stand, and when you have done all you can do, stand
Cry out to Him
Then as you worship and lift your hands in the air, Be anxious for nothing
Your eyes are on Jesus; you are standing firm
Enthralled with Him, and don’t even notice that the waves become smaller and smaller, turning into little tiny splashes just tickling your toes
You are safe on the Chief Cornerstone, the Saviour
Stand, and when you have done all that you can do
Stand on the Rock
Save me I am weary of crying!!
Psalm 60:1-2
“Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
He Rescued Me and Gave Me Praise
Psalm 40:1-3
“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”
Stand Clothed In Him
Ephesians 6:10-18
“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Rejoicing Brings Peace
Philippians 4:4-7
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
