And the arch came tumbling down!!

A reproduction of the Arch of Baal which originally stood the city of Palmyra, Syria is being displayed in Washington DC from September 26 to September 30, 2018. This Roman victory arch had to be passed through on the way in and the way out of the temple of Baal in Palmyra.

The arch will then travel to the international criminal court in Hauge the site of the Dutch Parliament and the UN’s International Criminal Court as a symbol of peace and resilience. “The Hague is described as the City of Peace and Justice.” Hosted by the Centre for Global Heritage and Development, the arch will be displayed adjacent to the ICC for one month beginning October 17. The internet announcement of the exhibit describes the arch, a replica of the victory of Roman paganism, as “a symbol of cultural resilience” that will stand as an inspiration to the Netherland’s approximately 100,000 Syrian immigrants.” – Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, September 13, 2018

“The first modern reappearance of the Arch of Palmyra was in London’s Trafalgar Square in 2016, when it was erected for (UNESCO) World Heritage Week. The unveiling coincided with the beginning of a 13-day period known in the occult as “the Blood Sacrifice to the Beast,” the most important holiday for those who worship the god Ba’al, celebrated with child sacrifice and bisexual orgies. The arch was unveiled on April 19th, the holiday of Beltane, the culmination of the 13-day period. So why do we care about a reproduced arch being displayed in Washington, DC? Incidentally the NYT reported the original was destroyed by ISIS in 2015. This arch has been called a gateway for evil by many and as we research the pagan roots we will understand why.

First as Christians we care about what God’s Word states about the false god Baal and participating in worship to him. Some Biblical references can be found but not are limited to; Jeremiah 23:13, Jeremiah 7:9, Jeremiah 2:8, 1 Samuel 7:4, Hosea 2:16-17, 2 Kings 21:3, 2 Kings 23:5, 2 Kings 17:16, Judges 2:10-23. The sheer number of times this is mentioned in the Bible indicates it is important topic to God and therefore us.

In Jeremiah we read more about the practices of Baal worship. “4 Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods, that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent

5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;” Jeremiah 19:4-5

As we dig a little deeper we find that Baal was the false god worshiped by the Canaanites who if you remember Israel was commanded to wipe out. “40 Thus Joshua struck all the land, the hill country and the Negev and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings. He left no survivor, but he utterly destroyed all who breathed, just as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded.” Joshua 10:40

Why would God command Israel to wipe them out? When you read the following quote you will have a deeper understanding on this issue. “”One may question that those ancient enemies of Israel were as evil as the Bible claims that they were, but even a superficial glance at Canaanite religion alone ably demonstrates their iniquity. Base sex worship was prevalent, and religious prostitution even commanded; human sacrifice was common; and it was a frequent practice–in an effort to placate their gods–to kill young children and bury them in the foundations of a house or public building at the time of construction: Joshua 6:26 “In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn…” – Howard E. Vos, 1953

So how do we know that this arch was part of the Canaanite worship mentioned in the Bible? The location of the original arch in Palmyra, Syria was part of the land our Bible calls Canaan. “Canaan was the name of a large and prosperous ancient country (at times independent, at others a tributary to Egypt) located in present-day Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Israel and was also known as Phoenicia.” – Joshua J. Mark, July 29, 2010.

As a Christian who is an American why should it bother me that that the Baal arch is being erected in Washington, DC? First it is the capital of our country, and moral fibers of our society and constitution were founded on Judeo-Christian values with many tenets and laws derived from the scriptures. The second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence speaks about God the Creator, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” – Congress, July 4, 1776

God as the Creator of all things is mentioned in Genesis One and Two, and the specifically God the Creator of man is, “Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)

On our coins we read “IN GOD WE TRUST.” In the following memo, “Secretary Chase instructed James Pollock, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, to prepare a motto, in a letter dated November 20, 1861:

Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins.”- Department of the Treasury, March 3^rd, 2011

Why is the arch being erected during the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot? This is a time when our Jewish citizens and many Christians celebrate this sacred feast time of Sukkot or God. Chabad tells us “Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection G‑d provided for the children of Israel when they left Egypt. We celebrate Sukkot by dwelling in a foliage-covered booth (known as a sukkah) and by taking the “Four Kinds” …four special species of vegetation… The name Chag HaSukkot commemorates the temporary dwellings G‑d made to shelter our ancestors on their way out of Egypt” – Chabad

If Sukkot celebrates God’s miraculous protection over the Israelites what does America erecting a pagan god arch in the capital city of Washington say to God. Thanks, but no thanks.

The display in our nation’s capital declares that false god is being recognized in our county. This false god had truly repugnant ways of worship which included child sacrifice, according to Joshua the city of Jericho mentioned in the OT walls were built with the bones of their own children who were murdered by sacrifice to Baal. (Joshua 6:26)

According to Halley Bible Handbook, “Another horrible practice was that they called; foundation sacrifices; When a house was built, a child would be sacrificed, and its body built into the wall, to bring good luck to the rest of the family. Many of these were found in Gezer. They have been found also at Megiddo, Jericho and other places;” – Henry H. Halley, 1965

If this was not gruesome enough Matt Barber writes, “Adults would gather around the altar of Baal. Infants would then be burned alive as a sacrificial offering to the deity. Amid horrific screams and the stench of charred human flesh, congregants-men and women alike-would engage in bisexual orgies.” – Matt Barber, December 19, 2008

This worship of the false god Baal included group sex, forced prostitution, drinking of blood, and other rituals that are anti-moral and anti-biblical. Regrettably, many of the evil practices of the false god Baal, are found on news channels and the internet, and disgustedly sound like things that are happening in our nation.

The Old Testament warn us in Judges that the Israelis forsook God, did evil in His sight and were judged.

“11 Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals, 12 and they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the Lord to anger. 13 So they forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtaroth. 14 The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. 15 Wherever they went, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.” (Judges 2:11-15)

According to WND, Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, told BIN it’s a symbol of a resurgence of idolatry. “The last time we saw this level of idolatry was when the Temple stood in Jerusalem. Now that we are close to the appearance of the Third Temple, idolatry is reappearing, even in popular culture among people who claim they are atheists,” he told the news organization. The rabbi said it is no coincidence that the arch is becoming a centerpiece at gatherings of world leaders” – WND, September 16, 2018

To quote Michael Snyder, “It has been pointed out that an arch is a “gateway”, and many are concerned that erecting this arch may be an open invitation for the entity or entities that were originally associated with this arch. What makes all of this far more alarming for our day and time is the fact that a number of prominent scholars such as Tom Horn, Dr. Michael Lake and Peter Goodgame are convinced that there seems to be a very strong link in the Scriptures between the coming Antichrist and the historical figure of Nimrod.”- Michael Snyder

Another interesting point is that the arch of Palmyra was in Syria, which was a part of Canaan mentioned in the Old Testament, and shortly the reconstructed arch will be going to Hauge. As stated earlier in this article the arch is supposed to stand as an inspiration to Syrian refugees in Holland.

Where are the Joshua’s? Where are the intercessors? Where are the worshippers? Where are the watchmen? Its time for the arch to fall. It is time to blow the shofar. It is time for the altars of Baal to fall, fall, fall like the walls of Jericho. Sound the shofar!!! The shofar is calling for you. Pray that the altars of abortion will fall. Pray that the altars of sexually immortality will fall. Pray that the altars of false religion will fall. Pray that the altars of child and adult pornograpy will fall. Pray that the altars of sex trafficking will fall.

“It shall be that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city will fall down flat, and the people go up every man straight ahead.” (Joshua 6:6)

Pray and repent for yourself and your nation, and the arch will come tumbling down. If God judged and reproved Israel for turning to false god worship what will the LORD do to America? While we may not set up altars to Baal opening we as a nation sacrifice our young by abortion, condone all forms of sex outside of marriage including group sex, many participate in prostitution, child sex trafficking, and online or magazine porn. This list does not include the perversions in the practice of false religions include divination, sorcery and other evil activities. I leave you to pray and consider the following scripture from Isaiah.

“1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem, which he saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2 Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; For the Lord speaks, “Sons I have reared and brought up, But they have revolted against Me. 3 “An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master’s manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand.” 4 Alas, sinful nation, People weighed down with iniquity, Offspring of evildoers, Sons who act corruptly! They have abandoned the Lord, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him. 5 Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The whole head is sick And the whole heart is faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing sound in it, Only bruises, welts and raw wounds, Not pressed out or bandaged, Nor softened with oil. 7 Your land is desolate, Your cities are burned with fire, Your fields—strangers are devouring them in your presence; It is desolation, as overthrown by strangers. 8 The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, Like a watchman’s hut in a cucumber field, like a besieged city. 9 Unless the Lord of hosts Had left us a few survivors, We would be like Sodom, We would be like Gomorrah. God Has Had Enough 10 Hear the word of the Lord, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the instruction of our God, You people of Gomorrah. 11 “What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats. 12 “When you come to appear before Me, Who requires of you this trampling of My courts? 13 “Bring your worthless offerings no longer, Incense is an abomination to Me. New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly. 14 “I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 “So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you multiply prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood. 16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow. “Let Us Reason” 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. 19 “If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land; 20 “But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword.” Truly, the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Zion Corrupted, to Be Redeemed 21 How the faithful city has become a harlot, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once lodged in her, But now murderers. 22 Your silver has become dross, Your drink diluted with water. 23 Your rulers are rebels And companions of thieves; Everyone loves a bribe And chases after rewards. They do not defend the orphan, Nor does the widow’s plea come before them. 24 Therefore the Lord God of hosts, The Mighty One of Israel, declares, “Ah, I will be relieved of My adversaries And avenge Myself on My foes. 25 “I will also turn My hand against you, And will smelt away your dross as with lye And will remove all your alloy. 26 “Then I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city.” 27 Zion will be redeemed with justice And her repentant ones with righteousness. 28 But transgressors and sinners will be crushed together, And those who forsake the Lord will come to an end. 29 Surely [m]you will be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, And you will be embarrassed at the gardens which you have chosen. 30 For you will be like an oak whose leaf fades away Or as a garden that has no water. 31 The strong man will become tinder, His work also a spark. Thus they shall both burn together And there will be none to quench them.” (Isaiah 1)
