Dr. MacArthur’s Legacy: Standing Firm in Faith

On Sunday, July 13, Dr MacArthur, 86, head Pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, is expected to step from this world and be absent from this earthly world and be present with the Lord (1 Cor 15) where mortal shall be put on immortality and corruptible shall be put incorruptibility (1 Cor 15).* MacArthur, a well-known author and teacher, is well-known for defying the state of California and meeting during Covid, where he chode the higher law of “forsake not the assemblies of yourselves together” (Heb 10:25) and faced extreme fines, which were later dismissed.

MacArthur has carried the banner of Christ well and has, as Paul said, fought the good fight  (1 Tim 6:12). What will people say of you when it is your time to meet the Lord Jesus? Will he welcome you “with well-done faithful servant” (Matt 25:23) or will you disappoint Jesus and embarrass yourself in front of the great halls of witnesses in heaven? Once you die you will no longer be able to change your life or make a difference for Christ. We only have one life to live; make it count.

Now is the time to pick up your banner for God and stride forward in your purpose with Christ. You are born with a purpose. Life is short, do not miss your calling, rise up to be who you are called to be. Repent, pick yourself off the floor, never give up, for Jesus is watching you and writing your story; only you can decide how it will end. Raise your standard for Christ and FIGHT.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1 Tim 6:12-KJV).
