“Listen, Lord, to my prayer;
And give Your attention to the sound of my pleading!
7 On the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
For You will answer me.
8 There is no one like You among the gods, Lord,
Nor are there any works like Yours” (Psalm 86:6-8).
“Over three hundred thousand people a year go into the Hampton Court maze gladly to get the first opened to the public in the 1700s, some visitors got hopelessly lost. Guides had to follow their cries to find them in order to lead them out. That problem doesn’t exist today. An attendant now stands on a platform high above the maze. From his or her vantage point, the attendant can shout down to lost visitors and serve as their guide.
Christians believe that God, like the attendant above the maze, knows which paths lead to a dead end and which one leads to him. God isn’t content to shout down from a platform to guide and direct us. He came down in the person of Christ to be our guide. It is a foundational Christian belief that in Christ “all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Col 2:9). From his divine vantage point, Jesus can reveal to us which path God created to lead us through the maze.”
“ Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
12 I will give thanks to You, Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify your name forever” (Psalm 86:11-12)
Call out to God; He is watching and listening and will lead and guide you through the mazes in your life. Jesus loves you and sacrificed His life for you to be united with God. All you have to do is call upon Him; Jesus is listening. You are loved. Even now, feel the love of God upon you. Call out to God; He is listening.
May God bless you abundantly,
Chaplain CJ
