Parables are stories that Jesus shared as teachings of the day, with deep spiritual laws and precepts taught in a code of the Kingdom which can only decoded (revealed) by “listening to the Holy Spirit.” Parables were filled with lessons people of the day would understand in the earthly realm while simultaneously teaching spiritual truths (Spiritual Reality) through a revelation of the Spirit of Christ. Parables never differentiate from teaching the Kingdom of God, which is alien in nature, to the unredeemed old man. How can the unrighteous understand the Divine Spirituality of Holiness central to God? The precepts of the Kingdom were so “counterculture,” and still are, that Heavenly concepts were and are unable to be grasped by minds unenlightened by the Holy Spirit.
Even the Disciples did not understand the Kingdom concepts behind the Parable of the Sower. They needed the revelation of God to comprehend (Matt. 13). This being so, if those with Christ needed the wisdom of God to understand the treasures in the parable, and even more so were directed by Christ (after death, burial, resurrection, and before ascension) to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them with the power of God (Acts 1:8).
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
My friend cry out to God to be filled with the Holy Spirit for He is God. The Holy Spirit is our Guide and reveals to each of us the mysteries of God (1 Cor. 2:10). For how can a human know things to come or the plans of the enemy to harm them or their family but by the Holy Spirit will give words of wisdom, words of knowledge, discernment, gift of tongues, and prophecy (1 Corinthians 12).
God loves you and wants to give wisdom to all. Seek God, seek His wisdom, and live.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)
I will end with an excerpt from Arsenal of the King,
Fellow soldiers in Y’shua, be encouraged that our Holy God wants His children to know things and will help us make wise decisions. The Spirit of Truth reveals to us treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are in Christ Himself for all our needs for in “Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” [Colossians 2:2,3] Be fortified because Y’shua tells us, “My sheep hear my voice.” Remember, the Holy Spirit always confirms Y’shua and the Word of God. So, any choice or plan that goes against the Word of God is not of God, no matter how good it looks. (John 10:27 and 1 Thessalonians 1:5) Take hope, Abba God will lead the way, “He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, This is the way walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” (Isaiah 30:20,21)
May God bless you abundantly, my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
Chaplain
