Why are you afraid? Why do you listen to the fear over God? Do not fear what man can do to you but fear the one who can harm your soul [Matthew 10:28]. Or do you not know who your God is, do you forget who your King is? David knew who his King was [Psalm 24], the demons that were in the man were afraid of our King Jesus Christ [Matthew 8:28-34].
We are commanded to revere our King, honor Him, Love him. What did the knights do of the past? They upheld their king, and wish to bring glory to their king, and would die for their king, and refused to let anyone face him, if such people can be devoted to a false king how much more, are we able to be devoted to Our King the One True King, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the greatest Mighty Warrior, the Lord of Hosts, our Captain [1 Timothy 6:15, Joshua 5:13-15, Psalm 46, Isaiah 47:4, Jeremiah 20:11, Zephaniah 3:17].
He is not like the false kings, presidents, and rulers, who hide behind their men, afraid what men can do to them, who hide in their lies and multitude of words [Proverbs 10:19]. Oh no, not at all He leads the battle, He is on the frontline, He gave His life for all of us on the cross, so we could be redeemed, and rose on the third day so we could have a new life and be a new creation [2 Chronicles 13:12, 2 Corinthians 5, Ephesians 1:15-23]. The battle you think is bigger then you, the Lord of Lords is there with you [Matthew 28:16-20] when all of the world stands against you, He is there [John 16:29-33]. When everyone around you persecutes you even those who you called brothers and sisters, He is there [Luke 21:12-19]. He is prepared, He is ready, He knew the war was coming for men’s souls, and He is defending you, more then you will ever know, and warring with an unrelenting force that never compromises or gives in [Ephesians 6:10-13]. Your King Jesus Christ is the most frightening fierce Warrior to the enemy, and the One we revere the most [Matthew 8:28-34, Hebrews 4:12, Revelation 1:15, and 19:15]. He lives inside of you, He loves you, because not only is His Judgement fierce, His love is fierce [Exodus 29:45,46, Song of Solomon 8:6,7, and Romans 8:31-39].
As a man defends his bride, will not Christ do the same for His church? I have learned that God defends us, fights with us stands for us. Even before birth the Lord loves us, when my mother was pregnant with me she developed a severe case of placenta previa, and both my mother and I were at risk. Since there was a high chance of both of us bleeding to death and the doctors advised my mother to abort me, in addition to this condition an ultrasound revealed that I had a Nuchal Cord. We praise God for His protection for the Lord spared both of us even though I was born with the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck. “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” [Psalm 139:13-16]
Countless times the Lord has caused me to face near-death experiences, where I should have died. Including a semi-truck that was 20 twenty feet away from the car, heading towards a head-on collision, I called upon the name of the Lord, and somehow our car moved to the opposite side of the road, two witnesses confirmed what happened. They came over to our car crying and did not understand how we lived and said somehow the car moved over at the last second for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” [Romans 10:13] The wheel was not moved, the Lord moved us. These are just a few of the near-death encounters were the Lord protected me and was faithful. I am not boasting in myself, but simply boasting in the Lord, stating that the Lord protects us and saves us [2 Corinthians 10:17, Galatians 6:14, Revelation 12:7-11]. The Lord appoints when men should die and when men should live, do not fear what man can do to your body, but revere the one who holds your eternal life [Hebrews 9:27, and Matthew 10:28].
Stand your ground, speak up, don’t believe the smoke and mirrors. Rejoice when they persecute you for great is your reward, our God is a just God will He not execute justice to the wicked that come against you [Matthew 5:11,12]. “Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” [Zechariah 4:6]. Even more so do not fear the words and accusations that would come your way, because the Lord will give us the words to speak when we go in front of those in authority [Luke 12:8-12]. God has called us to cut down those that condemn us [Isaiah 54:17], we must not fear men even if a 1000 fall to our side. “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.” [Psalm 91:1-7]
You are a child of God, saved brought into the kingdom, how can a soldier be afraid of his adversaries when he understands the strength and authority of the Army he is in, and that his brothers and sisters have his back. [1 John 3, 2 Timothy 2:3] We must defend our brothers and sisters when persecution comes against them [guardians, sell your cloak, defend the sheep] [Psalm 23, Jeremiah 3:15, 23:4, and Ezekiel 34:31]! “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” [Acts 20:28] We shall speak with the teachings of our King [2 Timothy 4:1,2]. “He who hears you hears me and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.” [Luke 10:16] We must be a voice to the voiceless, we must open the eyes of the blind, we must help the lame to walk again, we must protect the innocent. “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” [Mark 16:15] “How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” [Isaiah 52:7]
Oh, soldier of Christ we must protect the bride, we must stand for the widow and the orphan, we must love with the love of Jesus Christ, we must speak up for the truth, we must speak up for justice and righteousness, we must not waver [Psalm 15:2,3, Ephesians 4:15, John 18:37, and Revelation 19:7-9, 21:2]. We cannot be complacent. We cannot agree with tyranny, we cannot allow lies to be around us, we cannot leave the voiceless in pain, we cannot allow the orphan and widows to stay abandoned [ John 8:31-32, 14:6, Ephesians 1:13-14].
Oh soldier do not forget your calling, do not forget what you are chosen to do, do not forget the teachings and instructions of your father and mother, do not forget the least of these, do not forget those you are fighting for, do not forget those that have died for Jesus, do not forget Jesus’s commandments and let the Word of God never leave your ever being, do not forget the truth, do not forget who and what we are fighting for. The time is growing sooner and sooner, will you stand [1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Timothy 3:1-4, Revelation 3:3]? Will you be ready [Matthew 25:1-13]?
Will you leave everything behind with abandonment to the world, and adoption to our heavenly Father [Romans 8:5, 14 and Galatians 3:26, 4:7-9, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Matthew 10:38, 16:24]. Oh, soldier of Christ stand up and fight, look around you, you have been chosen for such a time as this, [Esther 4:14] do not let your calling pass you, stand up grab hold of what God has chosen for you, and press on no matter the heartache [Galatians 6:9, Hebrews 12:1,2 and Philippians 3:14].
“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:10-14]
Very good word, very important we understand who we are in Christ and the power He has given His saints. Thank you for the uplift.
