Vision of Y’shua Painting The Sky

During a late-night prayer ride, the Lord showed me a vision of a figure standing in the clouds. As the figure neared, I saw a man who radiated power, joy, and confidence. Such a man could only be Y’shua the Son of God. According to the Word of God Y’shua is “the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.” [Hebrews 1:3 NASB]
Y’shua had dark shoulder length hair and was wearing a burgundy wine-colored robe; golden trim ran down the front and neckline of the garmet. Pairs of opal like gem stones cascaded down the front of His robe like a shining waterfall.

Our God is creator God who Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great;
You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak [Psalms 104:1,2 NASB]

In one hand, He held a paint brush and in the other an artist’s palette loaded with vibrant colors. Y’shua gave me a huge smile,  turned and began to paint the sky. I watched as He painted a huge triple rectangular shaped rainbow in the sky. I looked on in wonderment as I realized it was like the colorful rainbow I had seen over the mountains earlier this week during a prayer and worship time with God.  When He put the perfecting touches on the bow, He tipped back His head and laughed so joyously that I was filled with delight.

“The heavens are telling the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” [Psalms 19:1 NASB]

With joyful expectation, I watched Y’shua paint fluffy white clouds in the robin egg blue sky. My eyes never left Him as He added deep colors to the bright sky until it was darkened to a stormy blue. He smiled at me over His shoulder as He carefully added slashes of gray to the clouds until they pulsed thick and dark and teemed with the promise of a storm. Thunder roared in the distance, lighting electrified the atmosphere. and I could feel the rain getting ready to unleash at any moment as the wind picked up around me. With one last brush stroke the storm was fully finished, Y’shua turned and looked at me one last time gave me a gentle smile and vanished.
I prayed,  pondered and asked the Holy Spirit why would Y’shua paint a storm in the sky, and what does the Bible say about storms?  Knowing that the Holy Bible, the Word of God is the ultimate truth, I went to the Bible to seek out what the scriptures say about storms.

“Thy word is true from the beginning.” [Psalms 119:160-KJV]

“Thy word is truth.” [John 17:17-KJV]

I was intrigued to find that in the book of Psalms God makes storms filled with thunder and lighting.

“He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from His storehouses.”  [Psalms 135:7-NASB]

Much to my delight, I found that the Old Testament book of Job shares the wonders of God displayed in thunder and lightning.

“At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place. Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling of His mouth. Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning to the ends of the earth. After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard. God thunders with His voice wondrously.” [Job 37:1-5-NASB]

God is truly majestic in the storm. I continued to pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal the meaning of the vision when a series of storms hit my life with a velocity of a hurricane.  I will only share two of the many tempests that hit our family.
My mother was found unresponsive on the floor of her apartment in a diabetic coma, from which she recovered, Praise God.  Sadly, she was unable to go home, and she was released from the hospital into a nursing home while I began to look for assisted living options. My once independent mother needed to rely on me heavily, and overnight I became responsible for taking over her finances, finding a place, closing her apartment.  Unfortunately, assisted living apartments are very hard to find in our area, so my mother was facing an indefinte length of stay in an old cramped nursing home. As time passed, she  was becoming more discouraged by her surroundings and the loss of her independence.  It is difficult when we are faced with circumstances where the outcome is completely “out of our hands.”  I went to the only one I knew would help, I went to my God. We must believe the promises that God has placed in the Bible for us because when we come up against life’s troubles, He is our only hope.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.” [Psalms 46:1]

It was a very difficult time for my mother, I reassured her, prayed with her and interceded with singing, and praise for God, to “Supply all our needs”.  [Phillipians 4:19-NASB] After my mother had been in the nursing home for one-month God intervened and found a perfect place that had an unexpected opening. Hallelujah, Y’shua meet all my mother’s needs.

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:19-NASB]

After getting my mom settled in her new abode, I was faced with six weeks of the daunting task of moving and cleaning her old apartment.  I was eagerly looking forward to a respite when suddenly the situation grew darker.  My son’s health deteriorated and he was hospitalized for the fifth time this year. This stressful development gave me no time to recuperate from my mothers illness and subsequent move, however the circumstances drove me to devour the Word of God.  The Word of God is truth, so by faith, I followed the instructions of Apostle Paul in the Holy Bible and began to “Rejoice in the Lord”.

“Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I will say, rejoice!” [Philippians 4:4-NASB]

“Rejoice in the Lord”, became my battle cry, and I sang, prayed and quoted it over and over.  Just when I thought I had my feet stable, and I was able to breath the storm picked up in intensity, sadly I was told by the medical staff my son’s medication was no longer effective. I immediately went to prayer for God to show the medical staff an effective alternative.  I followed the voice of the Holy Spirit and fortified myself by reading and declaring out loud the Word, “God works all things together for God” [Romans 8:28]   I was in a pattern of  continual prayer, praise, declarations and reading the Word of God when I was told my son may not be able to live at home.
What?  I felt blindsided, I had just prayed, praised and declared the word. What happened? Darkness drove me to my knees and  I cried out to the Lord in my loneliness and despair. As I was sobbing the Holy Spirit gently prompted me that in my vision Y’shua had painted the storm. Wait, that got my attention. This was a new concept, Y’shua painted the storm.  Y’shua painted the storm!!

“For He commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea” [Psalm 107:25-ESV] “You lift me up to the wind and cause me to ride; And you dissolve me in a storm.” [Job 30:22-NASB]

Then Holy Spirit sweetly reminded me that since I have been a child the sheer beauty of storms have captivated me.  I grew up on an island in the ocean where I would stand on a cliff and watch the storm roll in with all its magnificence. I would watch the gale wind toss the ocean waves to and fro while the air around me pulsated with electricity, I felt alive as stinging rain wet my face.  I would laugh with delight as I danced round and round in the darkness of the storm. As the knowledge of childhood delights flooded my spirit I realized that Y’shau wanted me to enjoy the storm.
In a haze, I picked myself up off the floor and went in the living room where I began to praise God for the storm; for He is in the storm. I picked up my flags and put on high praise music and danced before my King. I began to declare the scriptures as I danced.

“Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world”, “When I weak I am made strong”, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  [1 John 4:4, 2 Corinthians 12:10, Philippians 4:13-KJV]

My tears were intertwined with joy as I worshipped the King with beautiful songs of thanksgiving for He is the maker of the storm. At this writing, we are past week thirteen of my son’s hospitalization and I am not sure if my son will  be able to stay in our home or not. This storm of life has not abated but God has given me peace and the ability to rest in Him because I know, “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge.” [Psalms 18:1 NASB] Whatever happens I know my God is there for me and for you.  God loves us and would not leave us unprotected because He has foreknowledge of events and He knew the storm was coming.

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not calamity to give you a future and a hope.” [Jeremiah 29:11-NASB]

I would like to thank my wonderful sisters and brothers in Christ who faithfully prayed, and spoke beautiful words of encouragement to me.  I especially want to tell Y’shua of the love I have for Him, “I love You, O Lord, my strength”. [Psalm 18:1-NASB]
I close this article with a Psalm of David which helped me through my darkness. In these verses God is in the storm, David understood the depths of despair, called out to the Lord, and had the faith to believe in God during hardship.  Rejoicingly God uses His power in the storm to bring deliverance to His people. It is my desire that the Holy Spirit will give my readers comfort, encouragement, and peace through this Psalm.

“I love you, O Lord, my strength.”  The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death encompassed me, And the torrents of ungodliness terrified me. The cords of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress, I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. Then the earth shook and quaked; And the foundations of the mountains were trembling and were shaken because He is angry. Smoke went out of His nostrils, and fire from His mouth devoured; Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down. With thick darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub and flew; And He sped upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him passed His thick cloud, Hailstones and coals of fire. The Lord also thundered in the heavens, And the Most-High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire. He sent out His arrows and scattered them, And lighting flashes in abundance, and routed them. He sent our His arrows, and scattered them, And lighting flashes in abundance, and routed them. Then the channels of water appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare At Your rebuke, O Lord, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils. He sent them from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. The confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my stay.  He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.
