Angel Army

A week ago, during a prolonged time of intercession, the Lord Jesus gave me a vision of a multitude of war garbed angels lining up for battle carrying swords and shields. The ranks of battle-ready angels stretched as far as my eye could see. As I prayed and pondered on the vision, and asked the Lord, “What is this?” I heard the Holy Spirit whisper, “Every day there is a battle for the souls of men.”
We must recognize there is a spiritual battle in the lives of men, and while we may not understand this battle the Holy Bible tells us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” [Ephesians 6:12 NASB] [1]
The biggest decision a person can make is whether to accept Christ as their Savior and confess Jesus Christ before men. [Romans 10:9,10] Father God has an infinite love for us and is not willing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9] “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” [2 Peter 3:9 NASB]
Regrettably, our adversary the evil one tries to stop each man from obtaining salvation. In fact, the Word of God warns us that the god of this world, some call him satan, has blinded men to the gospel of Christ. [2] [2 Corinthians 4:3,4]  The Apostle Paul wrote, “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” [2 Corinthians 4:3,4 NASB]
We praise God that satan is a defeated foe who will be vanquished in the last battle, “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.” [Revelation 20:10 NASB]
We praise God there is no need to fear the evil one because Jesus Christ is God, and we can rejoice because Y’shua is greater than the things of this world. “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created by Him all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together.” [Colossians 1:15-17 NASB]
We praise God that we are most blessed to be loved and protected by a mighty God who has not left us defenseless in this war; “God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble; therefore we will not fear; though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea. [Psalms 46:1,2 NASB]
I asked the Lord, “Why did you show me a vision of legions of angels prepared for war.” I heard the Holy Spirit answer, “To encourage you and all the saints to pray, to understand that there is an unseen war waging for the souls of men, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” [1 Peter 5:8 NASB]
The Bible instructs us that it is of utmost importance to intercede and bring intense prayers for our children before the Lord. “Arise, cry out in the night: at the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands towards Him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.” [Lamentations 2:19 KJV] [3]
Christian, intercede; intercede, intercede. Paul instructs Timothy to fight, we must recognize as soldiers of God that we must be on the offensive and join the battle. “Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called.” [1Timothy 6:12 NASB]
We are commanded to pray, and pray we must, for the salvation of our families, for ourselves, and our fellow saints in this war, “With all prayer and petition pray at eall times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.” [Ephesians 6:18 NASB]
It is through prayer we access Father God, and obtain help from our God, “Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses.” [Psalms 107:28 One New Man] [4]
We praise God that the armies of our Lord are many, “The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: The Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.” [Psalms 68:17 KJV]
We praise God that the armies of our Lord are mighty in strength.  “Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.  Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.” [Psalms 103:19,20 KJV]
We praise God He often sends angelic assistance, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?” [Hebrews 1:14 NASB]
God wants us to lead joyful lives and even instructs us on developing an attitude of rejoicing, prayer, and thanksgiving for all that God has done for us, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing: in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”   [I Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB]
There is no better way to finish this than with a verse written by the Apostle Paul when he was imprisoned for his faith in Rome, “And you must at no point be anxious about anything, but your requests must quickly be made known to God on every prayer and entreaty with thanksgiving, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and your thoughts and purposes on Messiah Y’shua.” [Philippians 4:6,7 One New Man]
