Making Disciples: Embrace Your Faith and Serve

Arsenal of The King

by Jordan Joshua

Hello, brothers and sisters in Christ. Today we will be looking at how to be a disciple. As Christians, we need to know how to live in Christ and how to make disciples.

“And He was saying to them all, ‘If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.’”
Luke 9:23–24 (NASB)

So, we should live for Christ and bear our cross daily, so that people see the testimony in us and know that we have truly been saved.

“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also. Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 2:1–3

Therefore, be strong in Christ. Keep loving Him and worshiping Him. This does not mean living a perfect life. It means serving Him with your whole mind and spirit.

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”

John 8:31–32

Jesus goes on to explain that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin, but when the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

So be free in Christ. Let Him redeem you and touch your mind and heart. Then you will know love for your brothers and sisters, and you will know how to make disciples.

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Philippians 1:21

Live for Christ. Let Him be your anchor and your light. Ask Him for words of wisdom and words of knowledge on how to make disciples.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19–20

Heed the call of the Holy One and go out and make disciples. Do not keep it to yourself. Show everyone the love of Christ that God has given you, especially to those who do not know Him.

I do not know what your situation is, where you have been, or what you have been through, but Jesus does.

He died on the cross and rose again for you. He faced a cruel death so that you could have everlasting life with Him. Let Him free you. Let Him set you free.

God loves you so much.

If you want to accept Christ, say this simple prayer:

Dear Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Savior.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord.
I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead.
Change me and set me free, in Jesus’ name, amen.

If you said that prayer, you are saved.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

John 1:12–13
