Matthew 24:9
“9 Then shall they deliver you up to be
afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my
name’s sake.”
Christ told us at the end of days, Christians will be in danger because
of their faith in the truth of the Gospel.
Reports from Pakistan a predominantly Muslim country that another blasphemy case has been reported leaving Christians in Pakistan unsafe and afraid, according to Nasir Saeed,
“Past incidents include those… where several
people were murdered, some burned alive, while dozens of Christians are still
languishing in prison, awaiting their fate…
Another blasphemy incident has
occurred in Pakistan, in the district of Sargodha on July 16, sending
shockwaves throughout the country. This disturbing incident has ignited unrest
in the area, leaving local Christians deeply concerned for their safety…
Outraged, the crowd expressed
their anger and frustration, demanding severe punishment for the blasphemer who
created the pamphlet, chanting the slogan, “the punishment for insulting
the Prophet is the separation of the head from the body,” as the only
suitable punishment for blasphemy.” (Nasir Saeed) (1)
Why should we care if Christians that live in a faraway place are being
persecuted, burnt alive, tortured, and martyred? After all, it is in the Middle
East, not near me or my family, and irrelevant to my busy life. We need to
intercede because our fellow brothers and sisters are part of our body, and we
are commanded to love them. Christ said that we are His brothers and sisters;
the Bible tells us that we are one body with many members, but all Christians
make up a part of the body of Christ.
John 15:17-21
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of
the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth
you.
20 Remember the Word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If
they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my
saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know
not him that sent me.”
It would greatly upset us if our sister or brother were being persecuted, beaten, or killed for their faith.
Well, your sister and brother are being persecuted for their faith. We can show
we care by interceding for their lives and the lives of their families.
1 Corinthians 12:26-27
“25 That there should be no schism in the
body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be
honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”
Why should we care if Christians are being hurt or persecuted? We are commanded to love all members of the body of Christ, and because the Bible prophesies troubles and trials will come to us. Would you not want others to pray for you? Remember, in the last days, the persecution will spread as the great dragon of old has permission to make war on all saints.
Revelation 13:7
“7 And it was given unto him to make war
with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all
kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
The opening of the fourth seal shall bring the pale horse of the Apocalypse
whose rider is Death, and Hell came behind him.
Revelation 6:7-11
“7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I
heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and
Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of
the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the
beasts of the earth.
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the
souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which
they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost
thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of
them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season,
until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should
be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”
When Christ Jesus opens the fifth seal, we see the souls slain under the
altar calling for judgment (Revelation 6:9-10). Will anyone be there you know?
Finally my brethren, it was foretold by Christ Jesus our Lord, the maker of heaven and earth who
walks through time and space and is not held to any linear timeline that there will be persecution, and you, my friend, maybe one of the persecuted or martyred. Christ who is Truth warned us of the coming trials but the same Christ promises to Never Leave us or forsake us. So let us move forward as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Prepare for difficult times by remaining in fellowship with God, reading the Word, and keeping its precepts in your life. Stand fast in the faith. Do not back down and fight the good fight by holding His commandments in your heart, and fervently intercede with a heart filled with love for our Christian family. Pray for the persecuted.
“3 Remember
them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as
being yourselves also in the body.”
Hebrews 13:3
May God bless you abundantly, my beloved,
