Open Doors USA World Watch List 2022 reports on heinous Christian persecution around the globe. In the year of 2021,
“Over 360 million Christians living in places where they experience high levels of persecution and discrimination
5,898 Christians killed for their faith
5,110 churches and other Christian buildings attacked
6,175 believers detained without trial, arrested, sentenced or imprisoned
3,829 Christians abducted”.
Open Doors USA
Afghanistan has become the Number 1 on the watch list. Christians are killed, disowned by family/clan/tribe or put into psychiatric hospitals for leaving Islam. Hindu Nationalist drag Christians away from their family in India. North Korea tortures Christians in their prison camps. And Boko Haram in Nigeria abducts Christian women.
All while we sit with the blessings of the Lord, free to express our faith…for now. Let us pray for our brothers and sisters enduring such persecution. They are standing steadfast in the Lord in the face of tribulations and pain. As persecution increases, let us remember that being so called saved from the wrath to come was not true for these brothers and sisters. We must be aware that persecution can occur in any country, such as overreaching laws like Canada outlawing the Bible.
Matt Walsh Reports on a Canadian law,
“…dystopian conversion therapy bill went into effect, threatening pastors with half a decade in prison if they preach about Christian sexual ethics from the pulpit. It was. And is. The complete collapse of religious liberty in the country.” (2).

With this in mind pray for our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted. Pray for the truth to be legal to speak. And pray that religious liberties are restored and protected.
