Awe of God

Proverbs 9:10-

“10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

The world felt uncomfortable with the Word of God, and the church catered to the feelings of the world. Love is preached in abundance at churches all around the world. The church in its rush to conform to the worlds definition of love has abandoned the awe of God. The western church has forsaken Biblical precedents by feeding the homeless but not preaching salvation, teaching that homosexuality is okay, and marrying gay couples within the church and loving people all the way to hell. They loved at all cost, and the cost of this worldly love, was the awe of God and souls lost to damnation because the church has exchanged the preaching of the cross and the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ for a pseudo version of love bursting with all the feel good of a Hollywood movie.

Do not be deceived this is not the love of God, instead it is empty love, nothing but emotional affection. The Word of God teaches what love is in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Keep in mind in the King James Version charity was the word used, but still means the same as love. Other translations if anything take out the real meaning of love, which is action. It should be understood that the Scripture is from the Holy Spirit and looking into the original language is not necessary to understand the Scripture (1 John 2:27). For the doctrine of needing the original language to understand Scripture is not Biblically based but comes from muslim teachings (1). Now going back to what the Scripture teaches on love, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 states,

“4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

These verses explain the aspects of love, interesting enough it only lists once to be kind, the rest is either action, state of the heart, or mindset. There is much to learn in this chapter, so I ask that you seek the Lord for the interpretation, and what He wishes to speak to you. I will only focus on Biblical love, and if we list what love is called in 1 Corinthians 13:3-7, 11 out of 15 of what love is can be traced back to the awe of God. Even the act of loving God should be an act of reverence to our King, for the Scripture teaches that loving the Lord is to keep his commandments (John 14:15). Love is vital for the Christian walk, brothers and sisters we must love all people, but hate their sin. As Christian’s we must love God first and foremost with our entire being and strength. Not the love of the world, but Biblical love. The issue is our church has given in to earthly love, which is only one aspect of the way God created love to be, that being kindness. Kindness is important, but if it is sullied with people pleasing and wishing to look good, it is not kindness. Kindness is not seeking your own and striving to save face, but instead laying down your life. If we show kindness to others it should be because of our love of God, not to be seen as a kind person. This way we can focus on God and not on ourselves. Kindness would be giving when it hurts, either time or resources, or just caring words that do not diminish peoples character. Being kind is not some great charade out in public saying look at me, but instead humbling ourselves, listening to God, and wishing the best for people. Churches that support gay marriage fly the gay flags even in front of their church, are not showing kindness but worldliness (2). This only glorifies the church, in stating they are open to all ideas, and willing to forego Scripture for inclusion. It does not glorify God. In this openness they abandoned the awe of God, and the foundation of their said beliefs, the Scripture.

True love is to be as Christ who accepted all at His table but spoke to them of repentance for every man has free choice but every man will be judged for their choices for the Bible says after death is the judgement. The whole focus of love and kindness should be God, which in case it is forgotten, let me remind the people, God is the Almighty king, Who was, Who is, Who will always be. He crafted you in your mother’s womb, He gave you life, and appoints men’s death (Hebrews 9:27, Genesis 2:7, Psalm 139:13). God who created the heavens, the stars, which burn millions of degrees also created to the smallest particle the very make up of atoms (3). From the greatest thing, to the smallest thing He created all, and nothing occurs without His knowledge. He is all knowing, has all wisdom, and is all discerning. He is the Judge, He sends unbelievers, to hell, where weeping and gnashing of teeth occurs. Eternal torment is the answer for not accepting Christ, for all are unrighteous. God being the Judge, will know whether or not people truly believe in Christ. Do not deceive yourself when so-called Christians tell Jesus, “we did this and that according to your name,” He will respond to some,

Matthew 7:23-

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Oh, how that last part of the verse is forgotten, they are called a worker of iniquity, it is in the Bible, pick up all throughout the Bible is found the awe of God. A worker of iniquity is a person who works to create more sin such as accepting homosexuality, or gossip within God’s holy temple. Those that truly love God will follow His commandments and preach on what He commands. Do not forget who the King is.

To those that laugh and mock my King, He is coming, a second time, and I only pray that you accept Him before He returns. For He is not coming as He first did, but the terrible day of the Lord is approaching. People always speak on the second coming as something beautiful, and it is, but they forgot about what Jesus taught, (Mark 13, Matthew 24). When He returns, He will destroy the world and its people (Revelation 19). All those who have yet to call upon His name and believe in Him, will die and be sent to hell.

Hell is real and tangible, when I was only 15, I had a vision where I was in hell, I remember being hauled down this pit into a cage. Fire came up all around me when I took in a breath, fire filled my lungs and my entire being. I was so afraid, I saw weird creatures, who started to stab me. I felt both the burning and the stabbing as it sliced through my flesh and it would not go away. The torment was excruciating, and the burning feeling was without ceasing. It was only a few minutes, but I do not understand how anyone could take that for an eternity. Friend, I ask you to come to Christ for I love you with the Love of Christ, and I do not wish you to perish burning into eternity (Matthew 10:28, Revelation 20:15). I speak against the evil committed because I love you. I do not want you to go after the world, for the world leads not only to the first death, but the second death, the eternal punishment (Matthew 13:50, Revelation 20:14). I implore you to please come to Christ before it is too late.

The awe of God must return to the church. Church we must preach the cross and of the sacrificial death of Christ for our sins, we must preach the resurrection it cannot be abandoned for it is in the preaching of heaven and hell, right and wrong that sinners are converted and Christians repent and those cannot be abandoned.

Romans 10:13-17-

“13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The church must start teaching both the saint’s and the world who the true King is, and who the Judge is again. God created this reality we live in, and what a wonderful reality it is. How could we have abandoned Him, our God our Savior? Why are we treating Him like a slot machine? He is so much more, and we are so little, we are as worms to God (Psalm 22:1-10, Isaiah 41:13-14). We must humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God. Is it even understood what this truly means to humble yourselves? It is not just bowing your knees, not just a public display. But a life change, acknowledging God as master, and giving our entire life to God. Being a servant of Him, what He calls we go forward and do. As soldiers He calls us, and we go forward and do. Fearing the Lord, seeking to do his will. If we willingly sin against God and have no repentance how can we call ourselves Christians.

Oh, my Lord, forgive us for our disobedience, and how we have stomped on the whole reason we believe, it is You and because we love you, we shall follow Your commandments. Oh Lord please give us the ability to prepare Your bride for Your second coming. Forgive us when we fail, it is no wonder Your word says,

Matthew 24:37-

“37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Lord I can’t understand Your awe fully, for Your being and knowledge is so much higher than us. Please Lord teach us so we may teach others. In Jesus name Amen.

Brothers and sisters, I ask that we return to to the awe of God and understand the divinity of Christ. Understand the authenticity of the Scripture. The reality of God. We must Speak up, as the disciples did, we are filled with the Holy Spirit, filled with God. How can we act like this, we have not honored God as Sovereign. Let us remember that we have sworn allegiance to our King. Our body is His temple, Christian you are a temple of God. We should honor God and honor our bodies. By aweing God, we will help others and take care of ourselves. Without awe, lawlessness abounds, which is occurring in our church.

Keep in mind, lawlessness is living in sin, or being disobedient to Christ, not following the law that God has set in place. As it states in 1 John 3,

“4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”

Now this does not mean we are bound by the law, but that we are to follow the law God put in place, His commandments.

Romans 2:13-14-

“13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:” 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)”

As Romans 2 says all have the law of God, even written in their hearts, knowing what is right and wrong. Although, we are not called to be under the law, but by following after righteousness, we obey the Law God that has been placed in us. We are made righteous not by the law, but by Jesus Christ. However, since sin is to transgress the law, or to disobey the law, we are still called to follow after God’s commandments, and obey what is in the Scripture.

Romans 6:14-18-

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

As slaves of righteousness, we as Christians do not need to worry about the law, because we naturally wish to do what is right for Christ, since He has made us righteous. However, this does not give us the right to sin against God, and disobey His law, for once we sin, we must repent to God to be forgiven, walk again down the path of righteousness.

1 Timothy 1:9-10-

“9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”

1 Timothy 1 teaches us that the law is for the unrighteous to understand that they are lawless. This is the purpose of God’s commands in His word, in our hearts and our conscious, to inform us we need a Savior. As Christian’s we can practice lawlessness, by sinning against God and not repenting. So, lawlessness is disobedience to God, which is sin. Hebrews 10 warns us Christians that we may go away from the faith if we continue sinning without repentance.

Hebrews 10:26-31-

“26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

From Genesis to Revelation the Scripture breathes the awe of God through Scripture, we are to honor God with reverence, as both our Savior Jesus Christ, and the great Judge. Where is awe? If churches take down the crosses and invite worldly ideologies to come in their doors. If we continue in sin, how can we call ourselves children of God? Unfortunately, the western church has become children of the world. Where the blind lead the blind. In this state of moral relativism, the church has cherry picked the Scripture that gives that feels good and abandons Scripture that teaches on the fear of God. This is lawlessness for we have ripped up the commandments of God, only keeping the blessings, not understanding the blessings only come with being a slave to righteousness. I have sinned against God, when I accepted these teachings as well, please pray for me. As any human you and I sin against God, as we live in this world as Christians. This is why it is so important to uphold one another in Christ, with the Scripture. Please I ask of you, test what I say and do in light of the Scripture and if I fall make it known to me and pray for me. And in turn I shall pray for you and tell you if you fall, for we must stand as a church, for one another. Let us as a western church put our backs to the world, and fear the Almighty God, the only true living God, Jesus Christ. Jesus warned us of this falling away in Luke 18:7-8- And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Please brothers and sisters around the world, pray for the western church for where we abound in freedoms, we have abandoned God, although we confess Jesus, our lives speak abandonment. We must return to fearing God, and obeying his commandments, for we look just like the world. Please pray that the wolves will be made known. That we will return to the Word. Western church, please pray for the persecuted that they will remain strong and faithful, always confessing Jesus Christ as Lord even unto death. Pray for the churches around the world, for this is how unity occurs, by the word of God. God calls His bride to be holy and pure, and it is time for the church to come under the light of God and for our darkness to be exposed.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-17-

“14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
